    Hey guys,

Some people offered their help in translating MouseCraft and WordTrap Dungeon to other languages.

If you feel you can help us with the translation, post a short info in this topic. Don’t forget to tell us what is the language you’d like to work on, and what’s your experience regarding the selected language.

We would like to have 5-6 people working on every language, so the words can be doublechecked.

We can’t offer you much in exchange, but if the game will be translated to the language you choose, you will of course receive full versions of our games, and maybe some t-shirts or mugs? We will think about it.

    Thanks!

I will be editing this post and will add you guys to this list:

I can work on Turkish translation but special Turkish characters like ğ, ş should be supported ( I think they are supported on UTF-8 ). I’m a native Turkish speaker and writer but I think it’d be hard to find another Turkish guy who too would work on a translation job.

I can give you guys a little help with portuguese, if necessary. I’m from Brazil, but it’s not hard to find me, ’cause i’m always online. As yasirkula said, there are some special characters like ç and some vowels with accents like á, õ and ê. I believe I can gather some friends to help too, because we need to do some activities like this in the university (Game Design school).

I offer myself to translate in Italian(I’m mothertongue).
The only characters I need are accented vowels, like portuguese (à, è ecc).
But i don’t think I can find someone else, also if Italian users are not so hard to find!

How many languages do you want to see in game?

How about Russian? And Belarusian? If you say “yes”, then i could do that for you.

Great! Russian is definitely one of the languages we’d like to cover.

Heh, don’t worry about Polish! We’ve got it covered since it’s our native language ;) .

I’m happy to help with English localization! I worked many years as a proofreader/editor in the news business, and I catch everything, LOL.

    Thanks phatkhat!

We’ll surely have some things to proofread!

Btw. what’s your opinion on our blog posts/articles? Are they well written?

I’d say I’m in for a French localization, if you’re interested.

As for my experience regarding the language, you can hook up with The Hideout games for a full feedback on my work for them (pretty much the only devs who had it checked). Things I’ve translated include:

    Monster RPG 2
    Conquest: Divide and Conquer,
Rijn the Specpyre in… Manor of the Damned!,
The Dark Mod (as well as a couple missions for said mod)
Knytt Underground (WIP with working prerelease covering the demo)
    Half-Life: POV,
Thief FMs (about a dozen I’d say, including the infamous Calendra’s Cistern, as well as making tutorials for would-be translators covering more modern tools than those used at the time)
The Journey Down: Chapter One (though you’d better slap the Sky Goblin guys for advancement)
    Dark Gates (WIP, almost finished)

As well as a few unreleased (re)translations and a couple proof of concepts for kicks.

So… I dare think I have a tiny bit of experience in localization. :)

    Cheers.
